VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Public health agencies have already talked about the possibility of scrapping this year's seasonal flu shot, and now a new unpublished B.C. medical study is suggesting those who got the flu shot last year are twice as likely to catch H1N1 flu this year.
It's only preliminary data so far, and lead author Dr. Danuta Skowronski with the B.C. Centre for Disease Control admits it's still too early to determine if the findings are valid. "Good scientists know that methods can influence results, so until these results have gone through the proper scientific review process, I think we can say nothing definitive."
Experts say researchers in the U.S., Britain and Australia have looked for that particular effect and have yet to find it. It is up to provinces and territories to decide on when to start flu shots, and this new unpublished study could add to the debate.
So pharmaceutical companies are infecting ppl!
