Played the demo last night. Man it runs smooth like butter, and the physics are way better and more realistic than FM2.

The graphics and detail are pretty awesome too; in the replay you can actually see the holes of the Audi R8's cross-drilled rotors.

GT has more cars (in GT2, GT4, and hopefully GT5)

They're both very good games, though I personally have preferred GT historically. The damage engine was a nice touch to the Forza series that has been missing from GT (but will be in GT5) ...

If Forza 3 were coming out for PS3 or PC, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, even w/ GT5 on the horizon.

You guys can run hot laps as well, where you're just on the track and not the other cars. There's a time leaderboard and a drift leaderboard. To see your drift score while playing, i think you hit the left on the dpad

To access the free run style Hotlap mode where you can race an unlimited number of laps without opponents, access the in-game Leaderboard by hitting “Y” at the track select screen. From here you can hit “A” at the top of the screen to begin a free run with the selected car!

I also like the photo competitions that are held on the Forza forums. People run competitions for lots of in game credits. Your given a week to submit pictures, then the forum members vote on it. Specific competitions such as "Best Drifting Tandem" "BMW Photoshoot", "Muscle", "Tuner", Specific Track photoshoots, Best wheel photo", etc etc

I won third place on a Silverstone Comp, basically take any picture of any car on that track. This one got me 3rd and quite a bit of in game credits

Looks like you can adjust the inside car view in the full version. You do this from the multiscreen setup (for people with 3 screens or more). But you're able to adjust the main screen which is your cockpit. You can change it to what ever degree you want.

Forza 3 Limited Edition is in Stores today (Oct 25th) @ Futureshops. I just got mine from the Scott Road location. They don't have them out, and they say it comes out on the 27th but on their site, the Limited Edition comes out Oct25. They'll just get it from the back for you.

yes it is becuase the game physics are improved.

just finished a 600bhp Skyline R34 with RWD conversion, it's pretty easy but you need some skills if you wanna get some nice angles.

also have a blacked out monster nissan silvia s14 - 952hp AWD... 0-60 in like 2 sec no joke.

It's really simple hoestly... I'm not using a wheel so might be different for you guys.

Before anything make sure the assists are off:
auto braking - off
stability control - off
traction control - off
use manual

get a RWD car, when going into a turn go wide quickly turn in and pull e-brake (A) and that's about it... be easy on gas or you'll just spin out... you will get the hang. If not maybe we can arrange an online meet.

Because they are banned. Just like traction control, launch control, etc. They want to keep it more about driver skill than simply electronic programming.

With traction control, a poor driver can drive faster, while a good driver would drive slower, thus narrowing the field not allowing those who are more skilled to excel.

Without ABS, a good driver will be much faster than a poor driver, whereas ABS will just falsely assist the poor driver.

^ exactly. I think the WRC cars have electronic diff control but I think it only allows it to be manually adjusted through electronics, theres no computer changing diff settings automatically as they drive.

is ABS on newer cars different? the only vehicle I've been in where ABS has kicked in was my moms 92 Aerostar, where it pumps the brakes on and off for you. But in games where I've had ABS on (haven't tried FM3 yet) the brakes don't stutter they just keep the max pressure without locking up. If it's still the kind that stutters there's no way anyone would want that on a race car I don't think...
