Hey Revscene tech forums,

Ever since I got the Microsoft Security Essentials AV program, I can't seem to log on to (or patch) WoW and Aion.

For WoW, I've tried manual patching and port forwarding, but neither worked.

For Aion I've tried manual patching as well and it still won't work.

Basically won't let me log onto my accounts ingame. Both the accounts are still active and not yet hacked, because they log-in fine on the respective websites.

Did I mention I tried to log on at school, asides from home, to see if it works, and it still didn't work?

Now I've uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials, and it STILL won't work!

Just wondering if anyone has some input on how to fix this madness, all you gamers should know how much I am feening for some gaming right now..!

err, did you check your firewall? it probably blocked up a bunch of ports that were unblocked before.

umm my window's firewall is always off, and it's still off :/

you don't run any firewall at all? also check to see if SE turned it back on then.

Nope, not when I game, at least.

And yeah it did turn it back on, but then I turned it back off. :/

I think I'm gonna try re-installing vista. Farewell my current set up :(

no problem, sucks you're gonna have to re-install Vista. Personally I'd dual-boot just to be able to game and send MSE an angry e-mail demanding they tell me what they did.
