I know I posted a thread like this before looking for a monitor to pair with a PS3 Slim and occasionally my laptop, I had boiled my decision down to this guy the Asus VH242H (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=73%2C402%2C4515,4517&webid=814862&affixedcode=WW) but when I was checking the Staples flier I stumbled across the Acer H233H (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=783560&CatIds=73%2C402%2C4515%2C4517&AffixedCode=WW&=&=)
All in all they look about equal spec-wise, I prefer the look of the Asus a bit as the straight edges look better than the curved bottom edge, but the Acer looks cleaner with only the one visible button and gives off more of a "TV" vibe than the "monitor" vibe of the Asus. Plus the $40 more original price of the Acer makes it seem slightly higher end.
So now all that really matters is the build quality, reliability, and which one will actually perform better. I think Acer is supposed to provide a better quality image than Asus but I figured I'd ask here first. The decision gets officially made in 12 hours, help me RS, you're my only hope!
