one simple reason...their mindset is very protective.

let's say paypal...if a fraction of 1.3billion people start using paypal, can you imagine how
much chinese money will go to the pocket of white people? Rather than letting the white
take their money, they make their own shit providing exact the same service.

Paypal is great, I use it a lot, but most chinese can't read English, these copycat web developers translate everything for them...win win situation.
