: Anyone around Poco today around 5:00 and saw this?

was driving through coquitlam today at around 5pm and saw this huge jet looking like it was gonna crash or something it was loooooooooooooowwww to the ground and 3 of its engines had like light brown fumes coming out

it was so low that if i stopped my car (like some did around me) i would be able to see the pilots

it was headed east, towards costco/pitt river bridge

weirdest thing ever, ppl who were on the street were gawking... i don't know how big a c17 is irl though, but this thing was pretty damned big

it couldnt have been a globemaster. Those things are FRICKEN HUGE. Your ears would blow up if it was that low.

My guess would be it was a CC-150 Polaris going to abbotsford.

Ive seen the Polaris going in and out of Abbotsford dropping and picking up military troops. Maybe for the Olympics or overseas. I dont know and dont want to get in shit from OPSEC

well it had 4 engines, that cc-150 (pictures) only has 2 huge ones


it was grey, i was trying to take a picture of it, but i was driving and almost rear-ended the car in front of me cuz he slammed on his brakes to take a look -_-


was sure there'd be tons of sightings :/

^ Maho Beach. I was there in February... Got tons of photos of the planes landing.
I stood right behind a 737 taking off. Super loud and was getting sandblasted... Good experience.

C-17's are by far the coolest looking military cargo planes ever. I saw one in person for the first time at this year's Abby Airshow. The C-5 Galaxy may be bigger but doesn't look as badass.

I saw it a couple of days before the airshow.. thought it was going to abbots airport or something.. and ya it was flying so low! in poco too
