: "USB device not recognized" when I plug in my USB drive

My 8GB Kingston USB drive is toast I think. Plugged it into my hub, into the tower, my laptop and my work computer, all coming up with "USB device not recognized". Anyone out there come across this before? Recommend any recovery methods. I don't have any important data on it.....I don't think. But it would be nice to go thru it once more before I give up. Thanks.

Had the same thing for one my USB flash drives... couldn't do anything with it. Had to just send it in and get it replaced.

It's happened to me a bunch of times ... Dead drive ...
