I had that along time ago when I was on the 1.5mb connection. Then the next thing I know, I get home and the internets dead with no response from my D-Link modem. Phoned Telus support in India I think it was at the time. They sent me a speedtouch modem and i've never had a problem since. Now im on the extreme or w/e line and no drops here yet. Ever.

Call Telus to replace the modem to the latest model. It will most likely increase the speed.
