Is anyone going ? I heard they added few more houses this year

I don't mean to be a bummer but every year it is the same thing over and over again.

You wait in line for a haunted house, go in and walk out. The following is the breakdown of time:

Wait - 15-30mins
Inside haunted house - 2-5mins
Walking to another house - 5-10mins

Seriously. Waste of my LIFE.

Went 3yr's ago and it was pretty scary LOL but it was fucking cold that night(like 2'C - 0'C) and waiting 40min-1hr per house was a fucking waste of time...seriously..that day was PACKED...and it wasn't even on Halloween.

Wouldn't go again unless I was with some super hot chick..

The only time you should go Fright Night is when you bring LGs with you. Other than that you shouldn't cause there are other better "Haunted House" tours you could go to in the Lower Mainland.

fuck don't remind me about how cold the nights are -- one year i went with the gf at the time, and she was in costume and didn't want to wear a jacket, even though i told her to wear one. sure enough, we get there, and she starts chattering her teeth, so who has to give up his warm jacket, and freeze his ass off for the rest of the night? yup, the chump =(

fright nights suck, but if you've never been, good to go once i guess.

How else would thugs defend themselves from ghosts in the haunted house?

J-Chow

lol.

The employees at the entrances of each house keep repeating "DO NOT TOUCH THE ACTORS", and then they ask you again, "what's the number one rule while inside the house?" DO NOT TOUCH THE ACTORS lol.

I might drop by this year, since last year we went pretty late, and it was jam packed around 8pm. Might go on a Wednesday night this time.

I would definitely drop by the haunted house by Dunbar near 48th / 49th hosted I believe by volunteer firefighters or something like that. That was one hell of a house, and well worth it since it was donation too.

There was a lot of animatronix, the props were a lot more elaborate than previous years. You could tell right away it's better this year because of the huge robotic bat at the front gates. They seem to take it more "seriously" this year.

Fuck seriously...I was freezing my ass off that night. Cause when I left my house at 5pm-ish and the sun was still out and it felt pretty warm(still cold but warm) so being the idiot I am I brought a thin-zip up instead of a jacket...then the temperature dipped fucking 20 degrees that night..FML. I was shivering and freezing my balls off and waiting outside in the cold at the bus stop while watching bus after bus drive by since all of them were packed and full until like the 5th bus..

Depends what time your there. I went last night got there at 10:30 and it was still fairly busy. First house we waited 15 mins, 2nd house 5 mins, 3rd and 4th house no wait.

This was my first Fright Nights and I gotta say it was pretty decent. I wasn't scared by any means but the quality of the houses were pretty solid fo sho. The house beside the Fun Centre, at the end when you walk through the tunnel that was dope haha.

winson604
10-27-2009, 11:27 AM
When they say "Late" what time do they close? hehe

I asked them that last night and they said it depends on how many people are in the park. they close as early as 11pm if it's dead and they close as late as 12 like last night because there were still quite a lot of people there. So really you should just assume 11pm to be on the safe side and if they happen to close later then bonus.

I think this years alot better than passed years. The Clown Maze was seriously a waste of time i think, tooo much walking not enough scaring. Plus i went last Thursday and it was raining and i waited 70mins for 1 haunted house. Albeit it was a Pro-D the next day so there was alot of kids out that night. But near the end they all had to go home and i managed to get onto 6 rides, and 3 haunted houses within a hour so it more than made up for the massive waiting i did in the beginning of the night.

So if i was any of u, id try to go on weekdays cause ur gonna be waiting along ass time to see shit if u go on the weekends, plus bring an umbrella if it might rain. I was seriously considering buying someones umbrella for like $50

Have to agree with the Maze. The only reason I went to it was because we walked by it going to another Haunted House and there was no wait so what the heck. It's mostly walking and you come to a total of like 4 areas where there's an actor dressed as a clown. I couldn't wait to leave that fucking maze soon enough it was such a waste of time.

We skipped the maze because it had a "Out of service" sign when we passed by it.

The glass maze by the hellavator was interesting because it was dark and its hard as shit to see. I was so focused on not smashing my face into the glass that I almost didn't notice a HUGE Jason character lurking near the exit with a giant ass machete. I saw him at the last second and let my friend go ahead. She screamed for dear life. It was most excellent :haha:

Ahh damn didn't see that maze or else I would have gone. When I got there last night the maze was originally out of service too. They said it was too windy and the walls kept blowing over. I wish it was still out of order so I didn't have to waste my time.

Went yesterday, wasn't too bad. I actually got to go to the haunted houses unlike last year. The original haunted house has a pretty cool part at the end. The three others weren't that bad but some of the actors are just kinda annoying after a while. Anyone thinking of going, it's a good way to do something around here:p

I was seriously caught off guard last year at Fright Nights by security personnel frisking people at an amusement park. I can't believe its neccessary but its good that its catching a lot of punk kids.

Last year they confiscated my $80 flashlight, saying it wasn't a good enough excuse that its a long dark walk from where I parked to the PNE. Managed to get it back at the end of the night at least.
