: finding psp version (1000, 2000, 3000)

looking to buy a used psp, How can I tell , or where is the version number located on the psp itself without the box.


I want to buy a psp2000, but without original box, how can i be sure?

on the bottom of the psp, slim white sticker with barcode should say either PSP-1000 or PSP-2000 or PSP-3000

it can also be 1001 1002 or 2001 2002 so on, you get the idea.

Can you guys recommand a trustworthy psp unlocking/hacking service. I have a psp-2001 white darth vader edition with firmware 3.80 .

I am new to psp scene, and will need local shop to help unlocking and explain how it works.

I hope this is unlockable so i can play download games and watch movies on it

it's not very difficult to do

you just need to load a few programs onto the psp itself and run it and then you'll be able to have a custom firmware

it's definitely not very hard to do

there are guides out there, just google Custom firmware 5.50 GEN-B

i believe that's the newest one out right now

5.00 M33-6 I think is the best custom firmware. It won't be able to play some of the newest games, but it will play most.

^CFW 5.50 will play the newest games as well, provided that the game is decrypted

youtube chick hen or somn like that. the image hack or whatever it's called takes a few tries but it works.
