Beef off the grocery shelf may contain E.Coli. Only on the surface though, so a rare steak is safe to eat.
Raw pork may contain trichonosys.
Raw chicken may contain salmonella.
A raw octopus, unless it came from contaminated water, shouldn't be much harm. I'd question where the octopus came from though. Their bodies seem like it would be prone to absorb all sorts of toxins. But I'm just speculating.
