Hello,

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place but I don't know where else I should.

You all might be watching the Canucks game right now but I would really like to know if anyone can see Science World from where they are right now... if so... ARE THE LIGHTS ON!?!??!
Last time I went downtown (last week, Oct 10th at around 1am) the lights were not on so I don't want to waste gas just to drive down there to see if they are or not. (I live in White Rock)

Reason why I am asking... I would like to take a bit of a long exposure photo of Science World lite up with some of the buildings around False Creek.

I know asking this is a long shot but I've been searching for a webcam so I can see if they are on or not but I've been unsuccessful so far.

Someone please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Cheers
Mike

It's past 11pm and I'm still seeing daylight from the webcam as well... Also, I can't seem to see Science World - it must be blocked by one of the taller buildings!

It might be a while until they're on again; they're renovating...

Where Have the Lights Gone?

Environmental Commitment

If you’ve looked at TELUS World of Science lately, you may have noticed that it’s been dark at night. The reason? We’re busy replacing our existing 391 dome lights with more environmentally-friendly LEDs. It’s a pretty big project but, depending on the weather, the new lights should be turned on in the next couple of months.

I was at the game last night and the lights were off on science world but were strobing randomly around it, it was weird.

Yea when I arrived that's all there was. Just a few going on and off randomly along with some party inside haha. I still got some sweet shots of GM and BC place though.
I searched scienceworld.ca last night when I got home and
that's exactly what I read (replacing with LED's) Wish I searched that site before I went down there. hah.
I hope they install the new bulbs soon :)

Oh well, till next time I guess. Thanks for the help/quick response everyone!

Cheers
