Not much going with team 1040 this morning so I tuned in to the beat and heard about this ....

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

The site says hundreds of people dream of him each night.... there are about 6.8 billion people on earth today if even a quarter of them are asleep at a time it means only about .0005 % of people dream of this image. To me that does not sound too significant, I would think that more people probably dream of a brown dog talking to them lol .

Maybe there are a lot of others that have dreamt of him but i have not yet.

thats pretty fucked up.... i rarely get nightmares, maybe once every few years, but ive always had the same one since i was a kid and i always see this guy but never really thought much about it till this thread

If i had that site i might not use the word hundreds thats all, maybe something like "every night people throughout the world dream of this man" I have very open beliefs and even went to bed last night wondering if i would see this guy because of reading about him here, but did not. I am not downplaying his significance just saying that the "hundreds" posted on that website does not sound impressive. :thumbsup:

I think people are more creeped out about the idea of this strange looking dude appearing in other folks' dreams. However, this is all part of a marketing scheme, therefore it is not true.
