at first i thought it was some weird Leaf design that some program put in (there were no red/green/blue/yellow/ lines at first just the black leaf)

:/

these kind of things covered under warranty? :D

No, that's accidental damage, and most warranties do not cover that.

:S

bleeh i guess i could live with it since its pretty much out of the way and looks like a leaf ;)

but anyone got any ideas how much it costs to get the monitor replaced?

lol tough luck buddy. the only way to still use your laptop though is probably to plug in a moniter to the laptop if you can. use an s-video wire if you have one cause most laptops have an s-video end.

The screens probably gonna be too expensive to replace if it's an older lappy.

I think some of the higher end HP line also has accidental spillage or drop replacement warranty too.

get a new laptop, hook that one to your TV with the HDMI out and use it as a HTPC or something.

StylinRed

well i was using this as an htpc at times but if i get a new laptop id use that instead for the 7channel audio pcm output ;)

im gonna call sony service later and see what they say and then decide to diy or just get a new one and sell this to someone
