^ That is probably right if you consider trading the car in or selling to the dealership?

But I don't think anyone would sell their ap2 s2000 for that low. Take a look at these 2 ap2's. Both are 2004, one has a rebuilt status with pretty low kms and another is a US model with pretty high kms both selling for 18500.

I for one wouldn't sell my 04 s2 for under 20 g'z if those 2 are going for 18500.

That's probably what you'd get for trade in. The car is local? no accidents? There is a really nicely modded one on s2ki selling for $23.5k.. no need to look any further: http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=725090 -

2006 = best s2000 model year?
It's an AP2 and still has the higher revs with traction control

It revs as high as all other ap2's - 8k. If you want the most options for the car while spending as least as possible, then yeah the 06 would be the best.

around 25k for a 04 s2000?
i think its pretty high because it has no more powertrain warranty
i thought it would be around $22000

It depends on a lot of things. Mileage, local car, accidents, even colour. White and black generally cost more than red or yellow, for example.

$25k for an 04 S2000 that's canadian with low/avg kms and no major collisions is about right. Lack of powertrain warranty would have no affect at all since the S2000 has demonstrated well-proven reliabilty over time. Generally a dealership will sell for higher than a private sale. Generally prices are higher in spring/summer than in fall/winter.

If it was spring and that car was on a dealership lot, it would probably cost closer to $27k. $25k would be a fair price.

Yes, most likely trade in values. They are worth more though, since you don't pay tax on trade. So 20K is worth 22.4k when you trade it in.

BB's retail values are still low.

I'm sales at a dealership.

book value is 20,500 but as a trade in, it is worth 23,000 from the tax savings.
So 24k-25k seems reasonable if you buy it privately.

benwang
12-12-2009, 01:37 PM
only 36k km when i got it, no rust at all and it never see snow.
its yellow with oem lip, white works cr kai, what color is yours?

also have to include insurance and maintenance, i'm in no way saying that the M3 is less reliable, but just the sheer differences in cost for both cars is pretty big.

also 25k seems a bit cheap.

All AP2s rev the same in North America, the japanese and europeans got to retain the F20C until 06.

Have you considered Civic Si or CSX-S?Cause...FWD is fail.
