: Can you use skype on WM phone?

It will use data, unless you are connected via wifi.

Rogers 3G is probably not fast enough anyway, from what I've seen. If it can't even sustain 1 Mbps, I don't see how they can even call it 3G

normal call is fine, it uses around 50kb/s to connect a call.

That's good then. I was thinking about picking this up for LD calls, but apparently on my phone it only sends audio to the external speaker, unless you use a headset or earpiece.

^ yea i was thinking, would a $3 skype can/us plan and a $15 unlimited data plan work? or will i need minutes on my plan. Cause for $18 + fees you could get unlimited can and us minutes.

It wouldn't be the most convenient, but probably doable as long as the throughput is there. I almost never use the voice plan on my phone, so something like that would be perfect. Where I am now though, it doesn't really matter. But if I were back in Canada, no fucking way would I want to spend that much for a plan.
