: PSU failing on me?

I have an Antec Neo HE 550, comes with 5yr warranty for this baby.

I have 3 internal hard drives and everytime I access D: and E:, the hard drive is actually powering up. I can even hear the hard drives starting up everytime I access it. This goes for my WD Green 1TB ext hdd as well.

It's a NEO HE 550W. That's a powerful psu considering I do not have anything overclocked with 3 hdd, 1 optical, 3 usb devices, and an 8800gt 512mb.

Is it safe to assume the PSU is starting to die?
Also, does anyone here have experience with Antec warranty?

Thanks.

since its limited to the 2 secondary drives it sounds like the power management settings in windows.

under advanced power settings change it to 0 or never

also caviar greens slow down to minimum rpm on their own when not in use.

When my PSU died, it didn't show any signs... it just died on me.
