They upped their speed on ultra high...maybe they did so on all speeds.

nitro is 100 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload

if you're only on high-speed internet, you may have been given a free trial of high-speed extreme. they give it out from time to time

Darn that probably means they noticed my intense downloading haha.

Seems like everyone is getting ~25Mbs. No idea why.

Speed boost will do this for you. Short burst of fat pipes, then back to 7.5 mbits.

It's all about shaw's "PowerBoost" thing that they keep on advertising.
I think its somewhat of a scam, u go and do speedtests , ur speeds gonna sky rocket, but in reality, ur actual speed is probably slower.
Why? because powerboost is there for the first 5-10ish sec when ever u start a download, but after that, ur speed dies down.

"Power boost" is a great way to test your pc to see if there is anything blockin' your internet traffic, ie firewall or anti-virus program. If you were be able to get 20+ mbps when doing the test, then there will be no problem for you to get what you paid for, either 7.5 or 15mbps for extreme on regular basis. people should rarely have speed issue now comparing, say 2 years ago

If you have vista or windows 7, get a network meter gadget. should let you monitor your up/down speeds on the fly. It'll be more accurate an assessment of your speed that way.
