Why is Arlington (who is undoubtedly controlled by an alien) conducting these experiments?

What is the book, "Human Resource Exploitation", about? They explained it so briefly that I accidentally took a fart and missed it. How is it used to mind control the people to become "employees" of Arlington?

Oh god dammit. I watched Donnie Darko for the first time 4 years ago in high school, and I still am confused till this day. I should have found out who directed this movie before I went and watched it. Ugh.

this script was a remake and was made into trilight zone (tv series?)

i heard it was decent but hten there were just way too many plot holes and my buddy gave it 65 out of 100
