^ yeah that question is quite vague.
Need the car model, where you live, and what you will be using it for...

For me it was roughly 400$ difference between Civic Si 4DR and 2DR (2DR more expensive). Will differ depending on driving history/discount for you.

2 door is always more than 4 door. and it hurts your wallet even more if it's a 2 seater.
My RX7 is $285/mo for full insurance with 2 mil liability with %25 discount. To from work over 15km.

Depends on the underwriter. My car is the same as the sedan with some companies, much more with others.

i went to the insurance to check how much it would cost for a 06 TL and it was 3400 a year... didn't check on 2 door car because i was already planning on a TL.
Now that I saw a 08 accord coupe, i'm having second thought. I feel like asking on RS and I will ask on RS. No rules saying I can't asking stupid obvious questions. Answer it or not is up to you, no need for you to tell me what, how, who I ask.

I don't think it was a matter of asking a dumb question so much as asking a question without providing any detail. The question was so vague that the answer could range from a couple hundred to thousands of dollars more.
That is why you failed. Not for asking a dumb question but for the lack of detail and common sense.

i know 2 door GTI is more than the 4 door... and then if you compare it to the Jetta GLI the insurance is about half of the GTI... even though its essentially the same car...

hmm you're right, you just like to come to people's post and shit on it. seeing your post history, alot of them, that has no business or any relations to you, are filled with negativity comment/reply.
either you were abused, abandoned or neglected when you were a little boy, or some dude/bitch betrayed your trust in a friendship or relationship.
you need counseling.

that turns into a hatchback vs. sedan issue, not hatch vs. hatch... someone explained to me why the sedan would be cheaper but i can't remember what he said argh...
same thing applies for station wagons. a jetta station wagon is more expensive to insure than a jetta sedan

Younger drivers are more likely to go for a 2dr hatch instead of a 4dr full-trunk. And they're even less likely to go for a wagon than a sedan. Since rates are based on the likely hood of claims, it kinda makes sense.

Maybe the wagon is more because they expect more passengers, so the potential for more personal injury in a crash is higher.

if shit talking is what you think this is, then you need help. maybe go meet up with crs and look for an internet fight somewhere else. try the off topic or the nws forum, it's much easier.

awesome rebuttal!
don't have comeback to this useless post.
nor do i want to keep arguing with you about the fact that you can't make a simple phone call to an insurance company, and want to be spoon fed by me.

No, there's no rules saying you can't ask stupid questions on Revscene. However, if you ask such a vague question that can realistically only be answered by an actual insurance company, expect to hear replies stating such comments.

a vague question can be answered by a vague answer, hence why i ask if anyone have a rough estimate. how people answer is up to them regardless of how vague the question is.
Why was I dragged into that statement?
i apologize CRS, maybe i misunderstood you, maybe i didn't, but no offense whatsoever.

you obviously wanted to or still do since you're still replying to the fact that i can't make that phone call. i like to see how much people's insurance are for 2dr/4dr cars, what business do you have with all this anyways? yes, i could simply pick up the phone and make that call, but who are you to lecture what i should do or not do? you're the one that started the negativity in a post that had nothing to do with you and now you're whining about how i'm not putting up an argument with you?
see how there are people actually sharing their opinion and experience with the cost of difference in their 2dr/4dr insurance?
on the other hand you thought you had to be those people, but didn't wanted to, so that is why you're here complaining about how you're obligated to answer this simple question, when you're not. stop coming to RS and venting about people's question/statement/comment (according to your post history, that's what you've been doing), this world would be better without people like you. i'm done, peace.
