| 2way compustar turbo timer problem
weird situation.
so my car is programed to keep running after i pull the key from the ignition. The engine will shut off once all the doors are closed. and my alarm siren will chirp and my pager will "beep" to notify me that the doors are locked.
Thats how it should, and has been working up until today....
Now, when i pull the key from the ignition, for whatever reason, the engine will continue to run. but doesnt shut off and lock the doors when i close the doors.
Im not sure if i accidently 'programed' it to shut off after a certain time, but if i did, my pager would have a count down timer- which it doesnt.
anyone know of a solution for this situation?
I hope this is a easy fix, as its winter, and having this issue doesnt allow me to autostart.
Thanks!

sounds like you turned turbo timer on. if you press buttons 3 and 4 at the same time it should turn it off.
if your still having problems call soundsgood at 604 961 8626 and ask for steve, thats me

Thanks steve!
ok...so i just tried pressing butons 3 and 4 together and at the bottom of my remote a black car with "2nd" on it came on at the bottom.
I dont recall that being there before, when things were working "normally".
any thoughts on that?

You have a 2nd car remote, but your problem is most likely the door switch. Does your dome light work? Dos the alarm sound if you open the drivers door? Is it a Honda by chance?

catalin- Yes, it is a honda.
the door switch does sound about right, but ill have to verify when i check the dome light.
Cumdumpster- just did what you said, and i got a "fail" message flashing at the bottom where the clock is.

weird.
I just went and checked on the car again after doing what cumdumpster told me to do with the 3 and 4 buttons, and i guess it did the job!
No dome light problems or door switch problem.
turbotimer, door locks, and engine starts all working normal again!
Thanks!

Thanks! | Nice, I thought fail would have meant that the turbo timer option wasn't programmed to the alarm module. You could turn it on or off through the remote but if it's not programmed as 'on' then it usually won't turn on..
I also thought it would have locked and armed as well even though you had turbo timer on..
Check your door switch though, see if it's intermittent. If it's faulty then it may not trigger the alarm if someone breaks in.

sounds like they didn't plug in a temp sensor in your alarm brain. when you pressed 3 and 4 you may have just pressed 4 and thats the query button and since you may not have a temp sensor it sends a fail msg to the 2way pager.
hope that solved all your problems though : )
