Hey everyone, I have for sale something here that I never really intended to sell. I had always thought I would hold onto it for ever and maybe get back into the hobby.
This is a General Silicones Storm Pro 1/8th scale buggy that I built from a kit. I bought this locally from BC Shaver and had a lot of fun building it, more than I had using it as I got it on my way out of the hobby so it was never really used all that much. It is a little bit dirty and I admit the pictures do not reflect that as they are from when it was brand new, but this car still works great. It has been in storage for a few years now but after run oil was used the last time I had it out.
Now, I know the asking price is a little steep but I am not kidding you when I say that this stuff cost me over $1600. I am including with this every last remaining R/C item that I have. You wont need to go to the shop to buy anything to get this to run other than a little bit of fuel. I will even show you how to use this thing, how to adjust the motor and anything else you might want to know. Not only did I build this car, break in the motor, and paint the body, I used to work at the hobby store so I really know these things inside and out. This car was never beat on and was always taken care of.
What I am selling as a package:
The 1/8th GS Storm Pro Buggy (originally cost $579)
installed is a Dynamite Mach .26 pull start gas engine ($199) comes with extra pullstart cable
also installed is a JR Pistol Grip 2 channel AM radio transmitter with a high-speed metal-geared steering servo ($165)
Extras:
good quality glow plug igniter and charger
extra set of wheels and tires that are brand new (need to be glued)
2 boxes of misc. parts and scews
3 extra containers of different weight shock absorber oil
an entire replacement set of screws for the whole car made of high-grade steel that are all allen-headed and will not strip or sheer off (never installed, all extra)
extra front shock shafts for front suspension
extra front lower suspension arm
3 extra cans of never opened lexan model paint for a new body should you buy one
a set of allen wrenches and a few small pairs of pliers
an extra set of springs for the shock absorbers with different spring rates
upgraded steering knuckes made of high quality aircraft grade aluminum
upgraded aluminum differential mounts
I know this is a lot to take in, but this really is a full collection built around this car, everything is going.
I am even going to include 12 rechargeable AA NIMH batteries (2100MAH) by energizer. These are good, fast chargind batteries for the radio and reciever. I will also include their charger if I can find it.
The batteries and charger cost $60 alone.
The reason this car is so special and is the Pro model is because the entire car, with the exception of a few heavy duty plastic parts, is made of T-7076 Aircraft grade aluminum and carbon fiber. All of this car is made for strength, lightness and durability.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions about this. This thing has to go! Make yourself or a family member the happiest they have ever been for christmas, make your son or daughter the coolest kid on the block.
Oh yeah, this thing is four wheel drive, via 3 fluid-filled spider-geared differentials with 6 dogbone style driveshafts. Is stopped via 4 centrally mounted disc brakes... So much to write. These pictures are of the actual car, though they are a bit old. The car is a fair bit dirtier and has a few more scratches but is still in perfect working order.!
