"He's lived with me for four to five years," Petras Dunskaitis, the dog's 70-year-old owner told a Lithuanian newspaper. "He didn't deserve such a fate."
Originally posted on a Lithuanian website, outrage at the treatment of the dog snowballed as the 40 seconds of footage spread across the globe, even making it to Facebook through the efforts of a 3,000-strong group calling itself the "Lithuanian Dog Support Group".
Lithuanian police said a key breakthrough was tracing the local website, www.15min.it, where the footage originally appeared. The website's users identified the man as Beniukas.
Local media reported that Beniukas may have sought revenge on the dog after it was suspected of killing some of his mother's chickens.
He has been charged wtih animal cruelty and faces up to a year in jail.

Oh no! Throw a dog off a bridge = EPIC CRIME!
Go and shoot random animals to death (hunting) = Recreation!
What this dude did obviously not pretty, but on the scale of problems in this world, it's pretty low.
Focus your "OMGWTFBBQ" energies on bigger and more badass crimes. Like, crimes on humanity.

I think prison should only be reserved for minor crimes such as vandalism. Everything rape/drug dealing and above should be capital punishment by public stoning. Can you imagine if rapists were regularly stoned to death by being tied to a pole in every city's public square? The screaming and painful death witnessed by hundreds of citizens would be a very effective deterrent to potential criminals. Imagine watching a busted drug dealer get stoned to death by thousands of people! It'd be fucking AWESOME!!!

i just think people's priorities on this site are messed up. I wouldn't doubt if everyone on this site who had that one "sketchy" friend, who sells drugs to someone else and causes drug abuse and harms another person just to make some money.
But it's ok to harm a human and to say comments like "fucking pigs" when they get busted, but when it comes to animal's it becomes everyones priority to try and arrest that person.
I agree though, this is a disgusting act, but I just don't agree with people's priorities on this site.
