Microsoft has released the public beta of Microsoft Office 2010.
This beta package is for the Professional Plus 2010 version, which includes Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, OneNote, Access, InfoPath, PowerPoint, SharePoint Workspace, and Communicator.
Microsoft is aiming to release Office 2010 in the first half of next year, but until then you'll be able to download it from the official download page and try it out.
If you have a smartphone that is running Windows Mobile 6.5, you can also download a beta of Office Mobile 2010 via Windows Marketplace, which includes mobile versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and new Sharepoint Workspace Mobile 2010.

exactly, unless they reverted back to the old style that 03 has, 07 was a joke.

I installed Office 2007 to replace my Office 2000... what a big mistake.
Yeah, definitely need the interface of Office 2003.

if u install this, after 1/2 year when i comes out...
either u buy it, or it stops working completely (Office is pretty expensive too) :s
probably better to stay w/ what you have now...

They should at least make it so you can switch it from "dipshit mode" to "know what the fuck I'm doing" mode

is it that hard for you guys to learn to use 2007? I always adopt the newest version of office when it comes out and i've had no trouble with any of them. it took me 5 minutes to get used to 2007 even after using the 2000/2003 interface for years. i mean, some functions i never even used in 2000/2003 cause they were buried so deep in menus.
i'm happy to see that visio and outlook finally have their interface cleaned up now. outlook 2007 was a mess.

I found with 07, they made some of the trickier features easier to use for the average joe, but when I wanted to find a specific feature that wasn't up on those tabs, it was nowhere to be found. 07 is great for people who didn't really know how to do more than type and change font before, just not so great for people who already knew what they wanted to know.

Ah yes, the conversation view.
I believe the public beta fixed some issues during the Tech Preview and tweaked the conversation view. The Technical Preview was just so badly done.
