Just wondering if anyone has gotten the shot yet?
I'm probably gonna get it some time in the next few days.
If you did, how was it? Any side effects?

i have friends and family who took the shot
both complained of their arms hurting after taking the shot... even my slightest brush against my frd's arm got her shouting in pain

I had the seasonal and H1N1 shot same time on 2 different arm.
Initially the arm with the season shot was more tender for the first couple hour
After that, the H1N1 arm started to hurt more
Day 2 - seasonal arm only showed very slight tenderness while H1N1 hurts when I try flapping my arm like a chicken
H1n1 arm pain lasted for about 4 days.
Protips - get the h1n1 shot on left arm if you are right handed and vice versa & eat a tylenol right after the shot

I got mine on Friday, best thing to do is pop a tylenol right before you get it. I only felt pain for half an hour after.

Who told you people to use tylenol?
Use ibuprofen, there have been a few (albeit poor) studies that show a reduced response to the H1N1 vaccine with the use of acetaminophen. Also, the etiology of the pain is likely inflammatory in nature...so an anti-inflammatory should work better (assuming its safe to take in yourself)

I had the shot today and yeah my arm now feels sore 6 hours after lol
And on the card that they give you, they actually suggest that you take tyleno for pain or fever.

I got it and I felt no soreness at all. But my parents felt soreness in their arms after the H1N1 shot though

Has anyone gotten the vaccine, and NOT experienced any side effects?
a better question to ask would be:
Has any gotten an intramuscular injection and not experienced side effects.....
irregardless of the vaccine, IM shots hurt BAD...try gravol IM or demerol IM...it never feels good.

Got H1N1 shot on left arm, and seasonal flu on right arm (I'm right handed) on Saturday, November 21. Left arm was fine, right arm was sore for 2-3 days. As if you had just worked out. Each person will be different though!

Sore on the arm that I got the shot in for a few days..
Like I felt like my muscles were stiff and felt like they were being pulled when I raise my arm up to tie my hair degree. -_-;;
No other side effects though.

slight signs of fever is normal since vaccines are the attenuated virus (weakened/dead versions). Just a get a good sleep before and after your shot and drink adequate water.

My coworkers told me that their arms were sore for approximately a week. These are healthcare workers that get the shot every year.

my arm was just sore for a day after i got the shot.
Dont know why so many people have "flu like" symptoms, or pain that lasts for a day/week.

First year getting the flu shot, and H1N1. Definitely get the H1 in your non-dominant arm.

I have received the seasonal flu shot, as well as the H1N1. No problems with any side effects.

it's sore/pain half hour after the shot and continues to be for 1-2days and it goes away. I had no symptoms other than soreness/pain

my soreness lasted 5-6 days and even now, i can still feel it slightly. it was a pain to raise my arm or move it in certain directions. take the shot in the non-dominant arm as someone mentioned.

some ppl have strong reactions to the H1N1 flu shot.
My friends all cried about how painful their arms were and wouldnt be able to lift up their arms.
But I was fine after my flu shot, even worked for 10hrs right after I got the shot
Arm was sore but it was hardly anything. Slept like crazy though.
Just got the shot yesterday.
Feels normal for a few hours, then arm starts getting heavier and sore. Other than soreness, nothing so far.
