Hey guys, i am about to buy a g35 and the ones i like (low km, 2005+, auto) are usually in silver and i was wondering if i repainted it to black, how much would it cost in total? And i don't want paint that people cry about on forums! (no offense to anyone)
So, how much? where?:haha:
to get a proper job? 4-6k, you get what you pay for.

on the other end of the spectrum if you're willing to wait drop it off at BCIT for free, or do a $1000 paint job at maaco,
Depends on what condition the body is in too, if it's a cracked rusty shitty body, don't let maaco just paint over it >.<

If you want a decent job, expect to spend $5K+
If you're serious, call Ed Lo (EDS Custom Body & Paint), 604 277 4800

BCIT does free paint jobs? never knew that.
yup but with paint jobs you're paying for the experience of the painters...
getting students that have been doing it for months is probably not going to end well unless you have a beater.

Why not just buy a black G35???
Or am I missing something?
Yeah, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a black G?

it's not impossible to find, that's probably the point they want to make.

Unless you are doing stripped chassis restoration, I strongly advise against painting a car to a different color. You will always see traces of the original color, you will always have some over spray, you will have to register the change with insurance and it will no longer match VIN and historical information on the car, and it will KILL the resale value of the vehicle.

There was a thread a while ago that linked to another forum... with guys with RHD cars going to one shop (I think it was in North Van??)... apparently the paint work was awesome, the price was cheap... and now that I'm looking for the thread, I can't find it for the life of me.
Anyone else remember that one?

+1 for OZ Designs, Steve is a good friend of mine, painted my car just recently.
As for bcit, they dont do free anything. You pretty much pay for materials and maybe a very small amount for labour, if any.
