Anyone else having problems with WLM9? I was using WLM 8.5 for the longest time since I had been running A-patch to clean up all the crap. I was finally forced to "upgrade" to WLM9 a couple weeks ago and since then, my WLM has been very laggy. When I type something in chat boxes, it would freeze as I continue to type and then all the text would appear. Switching from chat window to window would freeze up then work again.

Also, I can't accept any files. When I click accept, it crashes on me.

I am running WLM 9 (Build 14.0.8089.726) on Windows 7 as well if that helps.

Anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried uninstall all WLM features and the Messenger itself and reinstalled it?
The latest WLM works just as well as 8.5x.

It could be drivers related. Hard to tell.

no.
apatch gets rid of advertisements and those "billing information" menus.
msgpluslive is a plugin for WLM which is customizable and allows tabbed conversations.

Rumour has it WLM will implement tabbed windows.
