if you're in the US for 24 hours, you're only allowed to bring back maximum value of $50 in items into Canada.

Isn't that if you stay between 24 to 48 hours in the states, if you stay less than 24 hours then everything you bring in is subject to duty and taxes ... but if you keep it to a reasonable amount and be very honest, the very friendly officers might just let you go without paying anything ...
I heard rumors that L4D2 will be 29.99 at the EB's here so people might want to wait till Friday to see if these rumors are true ... that and Best Buy is having a Best 2 get 1 Free on Video games starting this Friday as well ...

On the US sites they are offering those prices, but on the CDN sites its still over $50.
BB.ca is offering buy 2 get 1 free now
I read it on RFD a week ago, no one can really confirm it as I haven't seen a reply from the OP but seems like it could happen, either way I'm going over tomorrow morning and seeing if I can snag a PC copy since I got tons of EB credit for just such an occassion

again like i've complained before cause i bought it for $60 just 3 weeks ago:
the original game took 5 months to drop from $60 to $30
this time around it took less than a month for the same drop...
why do i get the feeling they'll be coming out with L4d3 next november?

because it's more or less true, as long as people are still willing to continue buying into this bullshit

haha i asked the guy why what you just said is so.
i also bought L4D when it came out for $60 and it held its value all the way till the end of this summer, which is very impressive for a game. this one fell after 3 weeks.. or maybe is somekind of promotion. the other game, even on boxing day was not on sale.
I think its just heavy promotion, the game has a lot of competitors this year with Borderlands and MW2 so they are pretty much trying to get a solid base cause I know for someone like me, I would only have money for one of these games and considering most of these games now need multiple copies for friends to play as well, we all have to choice one and go with it ... and being cheaper than the rest works in their favour ...
yah COD was second on my games-to-buy list. but now ill be busy with l4d2 for a few months.

FS is selling L4D2 for $45, so I got BB to price match it with their buy 2 get 1 free promo.
I ended up paying $90 for 3 copies (which equals $30/copy)
