For 24 going into its 8th season has to be difficult for the writers to come up with ideas for terrorism. So far, there are a few crappy plot lines such as the Jenny one. But they are primarily keeping it focused on the Treaty and Rene/Bauer situation.

So far I give the writers props. By adding rene in the mix, maybe we can how Jack thinks Rene is like him and understands others when put in their position. Like I said, it's difficult not to run the show in the ground with so much drama in each episode, it'll be inevitable that they reuse the same material in a different manner.

But I'm interested, and I love Jack kicking ass! So I'll stay until the end of the show.

CTU got attacked twice before already. Once with a bomb in season 2-3, then by tango's in season 6. they also had EMP before but it was to cover up some dirty files on terrorists servers..

either way, the plot is really starting to pick up, damn!

i hope fox will renew this show for just one more season...it needs to close some loose ends..have half of the season to show the best of jack again then the latter half to end on a dramatic tone.

Last season and this season in this week's episode Jack uses the Maxpedition Monsoon. To be honest it's not a very practical sling bag. It has an unusual shape making it difficult to carry standard items like binders or folders, and its large for a one shoulder sling, making it easy to overload it and tire out your shoulder/back.

AFAIK filming for this season is not done yet
but im pretty sure the script was done long ago but felt like it was changed starting few episodes back when they made dana the mole.

and the movie probably wont be released the film until late 2011 early 2012.

and that is one of the main reasons 24 got canceled. I was hearing that avg production costs per episode was about 6-7 million +. On Smallville & Supernatural, we never use screens on location days, our directors just shoot around it and if the background needs to be replaced or enhanced with additions our VFX guys just do it via matte paintings. This includes us having turned night shots into day shots with sun and all.

The way 24 is shot is more in-line of how feature films are shot instead of tv shows.

Ya, the good thing about S7 is because of the writer strike, they were able to write the entire season. (When the strike hit they were done filming 8 eps.

During S6, they would write new eps as they went along, hence the story sucking so bad.

I never, ever found the actress or the character anything remotely close to entertaining. I think how she portrays the president is completely unrealistic and disparaging to the presidential role. Her character shows far too much emotion. A real president, woman or not, wouldn't get teary-eyed over 9/10 things that happen. Hardly all her fault, the writers are as much to blame.

I heard she even won an award. Emmy maybe? What a joke. Bubbles from The Wire would deserve that more than she does.

The film has already been greenlit and there is a screenplay in place already, actually from what I'm hearing, there's likely to be 2 or 3 films. I could see a prequel to Jack's pre CTU days tho if he does die in the finale.

Yup that's a ballistic mask. We have them in our gear lockers, for the private security work I do, but we've never used them before, no real need. The ones we have are rated IIIA and look quite similar (without the ventilation) to the one Jack was wearing.
