What's the condition of the engine seals and and rubber parts, all that inactivity I'd be concerned about them drying out and cracking.

This car was in a garage for many many years. You have to see it to believe it.
The guy towed it in because the fuel pump was messed up and had 10 year old gas in it probably. So the fuel pump was replaced and the old gas completely drained and filled with new gas. The car is not aircared at the moment but it runs like a brand new car.

Aircare results are messed, but it looks like an issue of the inspectors writing down the wrong mileage (i.e. 39,000 instead of 3,900) than odometer tampering.

Even they couldn't believe their eyes when they saw it had 4,000 kms lol.

I disagre. Judging by the results, I'd have to say that the odo has been spun.... it'd make sense that the car had 22,000km in 1994, and 36,000in 1998.

the results bounce around way too much to be a coincedence. I would be willing to put money down that this car is lower kms, but not 4800 actual kms.

if the car has been thru multiple owners, it could be tracked via transfer papers thru ICBC archives.

the last time i heard about this car the original owner was asking even more than $6k, too bad it's not a Si / MT etc etc.

was told the car has been sitting for most of the time because the original owner got a company car to use and he only insured that very very occasionally (to a point i really wonder why he didn't sell it 10 years ago!!)
