New PS3 game coming out early next year. Massive FPS capable of running up to 256 players at once, with large scaled maps. The graphics seem a little lower than what most people would be used to for a PS3 game, but considering what they're doing, I think it might be forgivable. Think of COD:MW2 supersized by about 100. Yeah...

I know I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I'm playing the beta right now and it's pretty crappy. Graphics are horrendous and the whole 256 player thing is a gimmick. It never really feels like there are 256 players in the game. The gameplay and everything about it just feels unpolished. Personally I'd rather play MW2 or Bad Company 2. Maybe it'll get better by release but I doubt it since this is already at beta 4.

ya i was on the beta back in oct..

too chaotic, aiming, controls all feel shit.. i mean im not talking about how it feels like dated FPS compared to COD, im just talking about utter crap..

I'm going to try the beta this weekend. I don't have high hopes, since I haven't played a single multiplayer game on PS3 that hasn't had major problems.

it sounded pretty cool back in late 07/early 08..but after seeing it at E3 last year i'm not really looking forward to it.

played the beta back in oct.. mediocre at best IMO, im not sure how much has change since but spoke to couple people i know and they say game is great, or maybe decent at least..

256 players in one game just sounds like a gimmick.. i couldnt tell in the maps i played if there really was more than 30 people in each game.. since everyone spawns after dying

not to mention it takes fucking forever to start a game. Gathering enough ppl is already tough sometimes on ground war in MW2

Its a cool game, if enough ppl play it would be great

i hope the graphics look a lil better on the real thing, although i cant imagine that if its going to support 250+ ppl

still fun though




but none of these games beat Battlefield 2, even MW2 its just a quick shoot-em-up that has so many holes... like no vote kicking or private servers and too few ppl a map....

i got it for $50 on craigs, brand new sealed
pretty fun game, but doesnt feel like theres 256 players, and gameplay wise.. MW2 > MAG

i love the airdrops in this game, and how enemies can shoot you down while airborne. Sniping is very fun too. Haven't had any single problems with connection and the lobby fills up almost instantly. +1 for PSN for once.

haven't unlocked 256-player games yet...but 128 is already getting kinda messy. and the vehicle feels very clunky and the camera sucks. I also hate how if you're incapped it counts as one death.

Last thing, the graphics is poor. Too bad it doesn't have killzone 2 graphics. This game isnt comparable to MW2 but the latter is obviously the better game.

I think the 8/10 it's been getting is well-deserved. I don't see this game being popular after 3 months as everyone will inevitably switch to bad company 2.
