winter DRIFTING locations

Just though this can be a thread were everyone can post some good winter drifting locations.. ex: open parking lots, places with not a lot of people. The temperatures are obviously already cold now so when it's raining/snowing we can go sideways if it's in the snow or wet/icy places.
My winter beat is 95 240sx, RWD ftw. Last season on snowy nights the streets were dead so i just did some sliding on public roads and parking lots but that was quite boring.
let it snow and post up some good places for FWD e-braking, Ken Blocking, and DK'ing.

Plenty of parking lots and logging roads on the Coquihalla highway. There are already have a good 8+ inches snow.
Make sure you have a buddy with you, because if you screwed up you are going down 2+ m cliffs and no tow will save you.

Last year, saw a guy drift into an electric pole, pole split in 2 peices and top came down on the truck. These idiots decided to reverse out from underneath...luckily they didn't get electrocuted...

OP. You know that law enforcement do browse these forums right? It is not a smart move to advertise that you will repeat to do something that they could potentially give you a ticket for. Stating the year, make, model of your car doesn't help either. Just something to think about.

It's not on big main roads, smaller roads with turns. Like i stated I do this at night with not a lot of people out. And what's with the fails!? I was only asking for some good locations, doesn't seem like you guys like to have fun in the winter..?

Good location: your very own private piece of land, or land where you have the permission of the landowner. Don't screw around on public roads, lest you want to be left stranded by z28 :)

Wow!
So you have an S14 huh? That's really awesome!. I love S-chassis cars! THey're so easy to drift, and I should know, I had 3.
Shit, you have any mods on that badboy? Coilovers or exhaust? Coilovers make a world of difference on an S-Chassis. I would know. I had 3.
RWD for the win! I would know, all my cars other than my Civic are RWD :)
Shit, I have some really good locations for drifting during the winter. PM me, and we'll go do some tandem. If cops come though, we'll just say that we don't know each other, but we got the location off of Revscene. That way, the RCMP and the VPD will get off our backs, and start fucking with everybody else. Cause like you know, We drive S-chassis cars, and we're cheap. We offer $300 for a $700 exhaust, and we lowball like nobody else! Benny To would know. Just ask that little faggot on BC240 And by pushing the blame on Revscene, we might get away with getting a ticket!
COOL!
They won't bother looking on this site though. Even though they patrol the site, it's not like they'll read this thread and get all the good locations that we think they don't know. Because all they do is sit at Tim Hortons and eat donuts right? LOL Just don't do it near one! I mean, it's not like the Police can IP check every user and find out where they live and who posted stuff like this! They can't check PM's either!
Seriously though. You have your answer in this thread. Don't be a dumbass and do it on the streets.

Find a place with lots of poles, curbs, and barriers. Proceed to hit various objects at high rates of speed, rendering your car totalled. Then proceed to the nearest bus stop, and start taking that for the rest of your life.

Hey douchebag, I'm not interested in you learning to control your car in the snow on the same roads that I drive on or my little sister might be walking down the sidewalk on.
How about manning up and learning to drive where the rest of us did - at the track. Want to learn how your car behaves in the dry? Wet? AUTOCROSS. Want to learn how it behaves in the snow? RALLYCROSS. Not only will you not get a ticket or kill somebody, but you might have some fun in a safe, competitive, environment.

Yo dog yo don't worry, with our drift skills we will just drift around your sister if she gets in the way... like in Tokyo Drift when the Veilside RX7 drifts in circles around the R33... kinda like this:

Yo dawg, like the exotic man said. I drift around people, and last I heard when you fuck around on auto-x courses you get booted off. Track days are hella expensive, rally cross I honestly haven't done any research into.
And I guess you missed the deserted point. But you sound pretty perfect, I guess you drive absolutely by the book and have never gotten the tires loose, not even a chirp, on public roads. Am I right? hahaha

Yo dawg, like the exotic man said. I drift around people, and last I heard when you fuck around on auto-x courses you get booted off.
True.
And if you're drifting you're regularly, and intentionally, exceeding the limit of grip -- there's no need to do this driving in the street. AutoX, RallyX - you'll want to drive at the limit of grip. sometimes you'll exceed it, but not to the point you would drifting.
Track days are hella expensive,
$200 ish. How much is that ticket going to cost me, occifer!? By the way, nobody drives at the absolute limit at a track day unless they have money to burn.
Anyways - do what you like. If you check out something like a proper driving school or AutoX, you'll learn that drifting (running large slip angles) isn't exactly learning how your car handles in snow.... and if you're smart enough you won't come close to the handling limit in snow.

My reckless driving ticket was $138 if memory serves. And most of this thread I was referring to sliding around in snow. And yes you are right, we both know that. I have had the opportunity to do many track days, the three reasons I don't do them is because my car isn't "legal", I don't have the cash, or as has been the case lately i've been to busy with flight school.
Most of the people in this thread are right, I just like playing devils advocate:thumbsup:
