I'm in the market for an used MZ3 and the last few days I've seen some at used car dealerships that caught my eye.
I know the concern about the flaw on the passenger side door and all so that issue isn't something new.
Car A
Anyways, so one of the MZ3 that I saw was at the automall, it was a 2006 GS model bit over 40,000 km and the asking price was bout $15,000. There was an ICBC claim on it for under $800. The dealer claim it was probably a scratch or something.
Thing that bugged me was the dealer couldn't provide me with the car inspection report. Also there was signs of rust on the wheel axles (not the rims). I dunno how common it is on a car like that but it was one of the first things I noticed. Also the fact there was a claim on the car and they couldn't show me the report on the car even though they were willing to provide me the Silver whatever Richmond Automall is willing to provide.
Car B
The second car I also saw at a Mazda dealership in Burnaby. It was also an 06, bout 60,000 km and the asking price for this one was $18,000. It a GT model and I really liked it cept the price was too high even when we bargained.
Car C
This car I saw at a Honda dealership. It was a GT model fully loaded with leather heated seats, etc. This was the car I really liked, except a few things that caught my eye. It was an 06 model with 100,000 + KM. The seats were also a little wore at certain areas, probably cuz there was a car seat in the back or something.
Car D
the last car worth noting was a 07 GS model fully loaded model. This car had bout 40,000 km on it. It had more extra features than any of the GTs I saw, the car was in near mint condition. Problem was the asking price was way out of my budget. They were asking for $20,000.
So I'm at a lost for what to do. Car A and C are within my budget of $18,000 (including taxes and all).
Except I dunno how serious of an issue the rust on Car A is and the previous claim it had on the car.
And the mileage on Car C also concerns me
Car B and D are out of my budget, but a friend I ran into that works at the dealership where I saw car D said the price might go down since it's been sitting on the lot for a few months.
Any feedbacks would be appricated
