| Able to wash my car at home in this weather?
I want to wash my car. Anyone recently wash their car at home and have water turn to ice on the ground? Posted via RS Mobile Thread |

Dumb idea. Water can pool in places you don't want it to, and then freeze. Wait till warmer weather to wash it, or if you're really concerned about keeping your car clean, then buy a winter beater.

I just re-read your thread and realized just how stupid it is. Quote:

| Water freezes at 0 degrees C. I'm sure you can can put two and two together.

Then how do those self wash places deal with ice? How much do those places charge if you wash by yourself? Posted via RS Mobile |

Take it to a touchless car wash at Shell or Esso. It's about $10

You can go through a touchless wash, those cost about $10 per wash. They dont do a great job, but with this weather its better than nothing

Or u can go to gas station touchless washes for <10 dollars.
IMO, is winter, just go to a touchless wash every 3 weeks to get rid of the salt residue from the roads.

I prefer to use a product like Optimum No Rinse available through our local sponsor Autowerkes Exclusive.
Optimum No Rinse can be used with just a bucket of water in one's garage. It is a much safer alternative then taking your car to a drive-through car wash as this won't mar your paint if used correctly.

Know what? No scratches at all. Except the places where I started getting sloppy, but scratches were minimal, and were buffed out later on anyway

Kev | I dont see how a touchless drive through car wash would mar your paint?
It just costs more lol
