If so,try Value Village or any second hand store.

If you're waxing your skis or snowboard you can use a regular clothes iron. Any second hand store like spyker has already mentioned would be your best bet. Try to find one with no holes on the bottom or else the wax might get in there and burn.

If you use the lowest setting on most irons, it won't burn wax.

It does take longer to wax but it does the same job.

I've used irons with steam holes for years before i bought a proprietary waxer with good results

The setting does not matter,your just using it to melt the wax.

That is true, but you can set the iron to LOW LOW and also to STEAM and it will perform the job, however.......if you start to melt the base to the point where it won't absorb wax, then you're hooped.

Irons, no matter steam irons or non steam irons have a graduated heat setting, from off-low-medium-high.

So as the iron is off, turn it on just enough.

Too hot of a setting the iron will burn the wax and then the wax is rendered useless, too cold isn't bad, however it will take you LONGER to wax your deck.

I use a hairdryer to warm up the base,seems to work pretty well.

Just take your time scaping the excess wax off and shaping it,make sure it's smooth and even.
