You stock Stereo must be equipped with or have the ability to support Satellite Radio.
Radio must have a "SAT" button or have "CH", "CHANNEL", "CAT" or "CATEGORY" printed somewhere on the face of the radio to be compatible. This is usually located near the Tune or Seek buttons.

If this all applies to your vehicle you can buy a www.pac-audio.com UPAC-NIS1

Where your local sponsor, Soundworks, Rise Performance & Soundsgood can order and professional install for you. Call them for a quote.

Yeah pretty sure a 2005 Altima should have a SAT button from what I remember.

These work pretty good too.

or the cheaper A200

Hi guys. Sorry for the late reply. I checked with my car, but I cannot seem to find the SAT button nor "CH", "CHANNEL", "CAT" or "CATEGORY" on my deck, so I don't know if my car is actually compatable? I called into Rise for a quick price quote and it was going to be 230-250$ (80$ labour). I really don't have that kind of money right now so I thought I would take the chance to get to know my car a little better and give it a try. However, I'm stuck on which unit that I should be buying. I have looked @ http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=22 as someone suggested, but this includes the ipod browsing included, which I don't particularly need if I can just get AUX and save a bit of money. So in short

Coles: Could not find the SAT or CH button, can is my phone still able to do AUX? I want to try to do this by myself, but cannot seem to find a good step by step guide. Would anyone care to explain how I should go about this? What unit to buy, if I just want AUX?

You just need to figure out how to pull out the headunit.

I'm sure most altima forums will have a guide on how to remove the stereo.

If you don't have a SAT or CH button then there's no way to input the signal to the deck other than FM mod or change to an aftermarket stereo.

I have just found this guide after hours of scavenging on different Nissan forums. Tell me what you guys think.

How much would an aftermarket stereo cost? (seeing how i have no SAT or CH button _)

Have you checked out activetuning.com They have a aux input which requires your radio to have a Sat or Radio button. According to the instructions if there is no Sat button the Radio button will work as some 350Z's don't have the Sat button. There is a good chance this may work for you http://www.activetuning.com/products/multiple/PXNI/

I dealt with these guys back on 04 when I bought a aux input for my sister's 02 Altima. That aux input still works great.

I have just emailed them to see if my particular model will work for that product. Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't want to lose my radio button though.

I doubt you would loose your radio button, I think you would have to hold the button down for a second or 2 longer to activate the aux. Anyways good luck with it.
