^ you deserve 2 fails from me from the posts you made but i ran out for the day
i live literally 5 mins from there.
western lake is on 34th and victoria ACROSS from the dairy queen
the user stated it was on 35th and victoria.. its litereally on the same side as dq/donacata and fatty cows is located about 3-4 stores down from dona cata like right on the corner of 35th/vic
and wtf are u talking about arent many stores "vacant" i counted 2 that arent vacant if u count the old doctor place beside western lake and the old tea place inbetween dona catas / fatty cow

Richmonds better. Service is shitty, noone asked us if we needed a table or anything. Dropped our pop on the way to giving it to me, picked it up and put it on my table. Had to ask them to get me another one!
This place charges $1 for pop, not expensive but comapred to the all u can drink for $1 at chubby lamb and 2 for $1 at little cow in richmond.
Then they charge .50 for green onions, .50 for parsley, 1.00 for egg, and it all adds up. Came up to $35 a person. I recommend Rich

Tried it last night. Called like 30 mins before arriving to ask for a table in which the manager was more then happy to save the table for us.
Quality of food - From my one experience it was good. Everything was fresh looking and nothing looked sketchy. Variety wise it's pretty much the same as any other hot pot place in addition there was no limit on oysters. The soup base however wasn't as strong in taste as I would have liked but it wasn't like crazy watered down from the beginning wher you can tell right away they cheaped out hard.
Service - Both the 2 managers and all the servers were very nice to us. They were all on top of things, responded when we asked for them and promptly gave us what we asked for every time in a timely fashion.
Price wise very typical at $19.95 and $20.95 on weekends. Decor wise well it's a new place so it looks decent and the tables are not cramped together. Nice to have a choice in the area where I don't need to get road rage over finding parking like in RIchmond. Lots of parking in the area with nothing else around and the residendial streets don't have restrictions.
Overall Id rate it a 4 out of 5. It didn't WOW me but there wasn't anything wrong for me to give a bad rating either. Price good, location good, food good, service was good. What the hell else can I really ask for?
Will go again for sure.

Here's a quick summary of my experience at Fatty Cow Hot Pot:
1. Made reservations for 8 people for 7:45. Got our table at around 8:15.
2. We were served very promptly. They took good care of us but forgot a few things like hot sauce, soy sauce, but nothing serious.
3. Food always came on time and was fresh. Quality cannot be complained about.
4. Price was decent
5. Everybody at our table had more than enough to eat and were satisfied
6. Overall, a lot better than we had expected.
7. Would go back since there's nothing else in the area (other than Richmond.)
:)
victoria drive is slowly turning into the place to eat.

Honestly, all 8 of us at the table were expecting A LOT worse. With our experience for hot pot in the GVRD, typically, it's either terrible service (80% of the time) and/or terrible food. This establishment far exceeded our expectations but considering it is a little smaller, we were pretty happy. :)

^ Beat you to it sucker
Give it a 8.5/10
- It was clean
- Pretty good deco/plates
- Good service (they had so many waiters/waitresses)
- I would give it more but they ran out of freaking fish skin!
- Overall food was pretty good
Will be back for sure, its like a 5minute drive from my house.. scooore!

Yeah, it was pretty good.
Had to wait a little bit after our resos (like 10mins) and then got seated. Pretty much what MelonBoy said and at the end they charged us for 6 people instead of 5 but that could be because a friend pulled a no show.
They can't seem to figure out how we ordered. It was actually pretty funny since they left out some food but then randomly gave us others.
Either way, it is the best thing in the area and now, I, no longer need to drive to Richmond to get my fix.

I give it a 7/10
-quality of food better than expected
-service was bad (they left out our second order for half an hour and told us the 2 hour limit was up half an hour before our reservation time and actually handed us the bill)
-decor was quiet nice
-very clean, but that's probably because it is new.
-no fried fish skin
Note that sauces will be charged extra from $0.50 - $1.00
-eggs are $1, quiet a rip.

Cause everytime I go to Posh, it's fucking soysauce and water. That is NOT HotPot.

Just had dinner there with the wife.
Servings were very big. Some of the stuff was pretty fresh and some of it was frozen. Oysters were big and quite sandy.
They had 3 waitresses and the manager in such a small establishment, so service was pretty quick.
I did like the sweet peanut sauce they had.
But I prefer going to Top Gun HP over this place.

Well considering the establishment only serves AYCE, I don't think he has a choice. It's standard rules that everybody that sits at the table must pay the AYCE fee, it's to prevent ghetto superstars from claiming "Oh I'm just chilling with my friends" then the moment you turn around they start stealing food off other plates haha. Also considering if you're already there and you were forced to pay like $15 or whatever outrageous amount for the cabbage and corn then you might as well have some (however bad it is) rather than sit there like a tree stump. :p
Thank god my GF hates that place to hell - she claims that it's nothing special.. which is VERY VERY true

I went with 3 other frds.
We tried two soup bases, hot & spicy and spare ribs broth. i personally like the hot & spicy one more.

their seafood was fresh and the oyster was HUGE.
