| battery life in 2 way paging alarms
Im thinking about getting a two way paging alarm for the car, anywho I have heard that the two way paging alarms use up batteries much faster then 1 ways and need to be replaced every month? (esp viper and compustar)
I never really heard of this but can anybody confirm this? Becuase buying batteries can add up but i'd rather pay for some batteries then lose the car.
any insight on this would be great
thanks

About once a month for the AAA battery in the remote.

I have a Clifford Matrix 2-way and it sucks to the bone. Once a month for bateries and the range blows. I have a Compustar 2-way in my other vehicle and it rocks. I have had it for over three months and haven't had to change the battery once. The range on the Compustar is literally miles better than the Clifford. I don't think you can go wrong with Compustar.

Most average about 1-2 months.
I seemed to get 3-4 months out of my old compustar. Maybe it was the battery I used.
Lots of people tend to buy the no name dollar store batteries. I usually went with Energizer or Duracell higher end AAA batteries.

I can't remember the last time I replaced my Compustar battery, but most likely at least 3 months ago.

does anyone know if a weak battery affects the paging range?
