Hi, i'm just wondering if anybody graduated from BCIT with an engineering degree. I have heard it is extremely difficult. If you have graduated what is the ballpark of your annual salary?
last i heard, the BTech program for engineering technology is not an accredited engineering degree (for the time being) so you cannot be a PEng with it. this may have changed as I've heard they've been working towards getting their accreditation.
depending on your field of engineering, i would assume the pay grade would be like a jr technologist to engineer, which could be anywhere from 35-50k to start.
Co-worker's friend graded from bcit in the engineering program and he's around 30-35k a yr atm. Keep in mind he graded a year or two ago. Just a fore warning though the homework and such they have is very confusing and the workload is insane.
In general don't take engineering unless it's something you have an interest in and alot of free time.
