Count on Pharrell to be rocking the freshest kicks. For Spring/Summer 2010, the lady’s man who makes coveted sky-high black platform pumps with sensuous red soles, Christian Louboutin, ventures into sneakers for men with a heavily studded affair. Spotted on Pharrell at Art Basel Miami 2009 with Christian Louboutin himself are the latter’s latest studded hi-top kicks in black. These rock-worthy studs have also made appearances on a majority of the label’s Spring/Summer 2010 items such as flats and clear peep-toe platforms for the ladies. While Pharrell himself is sporting the laced-up black leather version, Louboutin dons a pair of slip-on leather shoes that are equally studded. Tough luxe will reign in Louboutin’s terms through Spring/Summer 2010, so we do suggest keeping your Schott leather jackets handy in the closet for nights out. On the side note, in conjunction with and to the effect of Art Basel Miami, many designers and retailers have opened up temporary pop-up shops, including Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream. Off the top of our heads, this adds on to the more-than-a-handful of reasons Miami would be a good place to stalk the man this week (remember the tank chair, anyone?)
