Taking wifey downtown for New Years and staying at the Sheraton Wall Centre. Likely going to the Commodore and I'm looking for a great place to take her for dinner.
After doing some research, I found Le Crocodile Restaurant http://lecrocodilerestaurant.com/ which happens to be on the way.
Anyone have any experience at Le Crocodile? Any other good restaurants around the Wall Centre or Commodore I should check out?
TIA.

Le Crocodile is the best French restaurant in Vancouver in my opinion.
Not a shallow trendy new spot (Coast/Society/etc.) but made for people who love their food. Quite highly rated as well per Zagat; Food 27/30, Decor 23/30, Service 26/30.

^ Thanks for the link. Sounds like a nice spot to check out for sure.
There is a set menu for New Years and the Second Seating is $150 each. Thats a little too rich for my blood.
Anyone able to recommend something nearby if I'm unable to get in on the First Seating?

lots of choices downtown. There's a nice restaurant downstairs from the hotel on the corner of Burrard and Helmcken

I haven't been there in many years, but I found Bacchus to be very nice and romantic, and the food and service was good too. We stayed at the hotel too, and it was a great experience, much more intimate than normal hotels.

Le Crocodile is excellent! Very classy and up-scale. Lol, when I went there, one of the waiters dropped a forked and the french boss-lady gave him the most intimidating look ever. Food was also great! Very romantic mood in there + chocolate crocs after dinner was pretty good too!

Food was great. Overall experience could've been better. They were quite busy so I'll give them a pass.
Excellent food though, highly recommend checking them out.
