Are these things worth it? I find it off that car makers don't use these, I was thinking of getting one installed in my 300, but wondering if it's just a waste of time?

Do you have a turbo for that?

It's usually used on turbo motors, usually running a fair bit of boost. I have yet to hear of a stock n/a v8 using one.
The answer is yes it is probably a waste of your time, although they're pretty damn cheap... If you install it yourself.

Alot of LS1 uses it because it does suck in a alot of oil through the PCV system due to high vacuum.

A buddy of mine is using one on his 300c. He showed me the amount of oil the thing caught, it was a decent amount. It's not a bad thing to keep the motor happy in the long run.

I'm driving the V6, so I'm wondering if there's any point. Leopold what kind are you selling?

I assume your 300 is a 300ZX and not a 300c.
With enough laterial G's, your car will be a smoke show. IIRC, hard left handers will do this.
On my S2000, I can lose up to a litre of oil through the PVC system when I am on the track. And this oil ends up in the cat, which is not that good for the cat.
So it's not a bad thing to have.

Hahaha, i assumed 300c. 300zx wouldn't be a bad idea.

Does your car burn any oil? If the answer is no, then you probably don't need the catch can. Plus, how hard are you driving the car?

No the car is basically brand new. No oil burning at all, the catch cans are cheap, but I feel like an ass installing it on a car that's not really sporty or raced whatsoever.
