Hello everybody I just got a message from psn that there going to start charging online fees .
Anybody else hear about this?

Apparently it's 20 dollars a month or so...

i think i read that it was a 'premium' service, meaning you get exclusive access to content, but it doesn't prevent you from playing online for free yet

Hello again,
the message I recieved was not through email but a message left in my message inbox on my psn account
and for a pic I don't have a camera

But it says word for word " psn will be charging fees starting January 12th, 2010."
now whether or not that is for a "premium" or basic online play, I don't know because it
dosent state what the charges are for.

I was more worried that I don't get shafted with fees later on.

But I will keep u guys informed if I hear any more on this.

i got the same message that was forwarded from one of my friends. If they did charge for online, I bet it wouldnt be more then $5 a month/$60 a year. I don't mind paying. What they really should do is have free and paid accounts. The paid ones would get exclusive extras or something worthwhile.

PSN is viable compares to Live because it's free. Online gaming is so much better with Live, a lot more player, and much less lags

If they do start charging, I doubt it will be for the overall service like XBL. It will probably be more like an all-in-one MMO subscription base, similar to what they're doing with their PC MMO games. That's my guess

that's far from temper on RS. But to answer your question: yes there are kids on this board.... sometimes 30 and 40 year old kids. lol. When there is a FAIL button option, it says alot haha.

I ♥ pc and you all should know why:
90% online game play has better structure and is free
(unless you are 1 playing mmorp like WoW or 2 running your own dedicated server which has is perks too)
also games are mostly cheaper(i cant think of one that cost more...)

downside, a pc costs more to build(unless u built it at the same time when ps3 first came out lol)

but i should really be making this rant, since i own every system any ways lol woot barging rights!

The latency and voice on PSN is not comparable to XB Live.
