I am trying to decide between the OCZ Alchemy Elixir and Elixir II. I am a gamer, but I don't really use macro keys much. I have used my friend's Elixir and it feels pretty good. I haven't had any experience with the Elixir II. Does the Elixir II offer better technology over the original? In addition, when I game, my fingers get really sweaty. I am wondering if the Elixir II has some sort of anti sweat technology?

I personally don't like either but would get the Elixir if I had to choose. The elixir 2 isn't very good for gaming but you can often get it really cheap.
If you're willing to spend a bit more I would get a Saitek Eclipse.
Also I hope you're kidding about the "anti-sweat technology".

other way around for me haha. Both are great, the g15 probably isn't worth the extra money but I got it as a gift.

I bought an Elixir 2 from NCIX but they gave me an Elixir 1 by accident, so that's what i'm using now.
from my experience the keyboards are cheaply made, no backlight, but the keys feel all right and it is fairly comfortable typing and gaming.
all in all, you get what you pay for (i paid $10 for my elixir 2)

Yes. That is exactly what happened to me. NCIX Aberdeen. They were so packed, and the dude had trouble finding the keyboard. When he finally got it, I didn't notice it was the wrong one until I opened it up at home. I think I paid $8 after tax for the keyboard. I PMed it with some online store :P

Yae... I get a combination of sweaty fingers and ice cold fingers depending on the situation. Kinda weird and gross at the same time. Overtime I get some weird gunk building up on top of my keys. But hey, that prevents people from wanting to use my computer :)
