It's a grey area in that I don't think it is illegal for any shop to install a bypass, but it can become a liability issue. I'm not sure how car audio shops handle this, but I suggest you go visit some shops and talk to them about it
in private.
If you want to support some of the sponsors on RS, there are ways of finding out who they are. Like going to the sponsors forums.
