Outside of eBay, does anyone have any ideas as to where I can buy a replacement controller pod for the Logitech Z-5500 speaker system? Was recently handed an old system from a friend who lost the controller during a move, and I figured the price of a controller from somewhere would definitely be worth the price for the whole system.

Thoughts?

Best bet is probably to get a hold of Logitech's Tech Support.... which reminds me... I haven't seen the remote control of my Z5500 since I moved... :lol

how much you looking to spend? lol my buddy fucked up the lil metal things that connect from the controller pod to my sub... so now i got 5 speakers+controller pod with no working sub...

I WAS going to try and find another full set minus the controller pod thing so that i can try and connect my 5 speakers to another 5+ the sub ( is that even possible?) if so.. if i do find one ill sell you my spare controller pod... if it dosent work however then i guess i could just sell you mine :)

am i making sense everyone? :high: is it possible to hook up 5 speakers to another 5 + a sub? do i need any extra wires or parts? someone care to shine some light on this ?

^ Technically, it works, but you will just end up having less power per channel if you were to split each channel.

Don't really care how much I spend, to be honest. I figured the price for even a brand new controller from a computer company or even Logitech themselves would be less than what I would pay for a brand new system.

Let me know if you want to dump yours, V! :D

i heard that you need to have matching PID (the sticker under or behind the speakers/pod) in order for it to work?

^ how u get a new sub? did u go thorugh warranty or buy another one?

also lomac, is it possible to just buy the controller from a computer company/logitech?

if so.. you think i could just buy the sub somewhere? or how much retail does the controller go for (this will help me set a price since i really am not sure how much to let it go for :P )
