Introducing... Brian Jessel Autohaus
There has been a lot of speculation since the first logo was put up months ago and even more now that the signs are up!
Ive been finally let into the loop and finally given the ok to let all know about Brian Jessel Autohaus (http://www.brianjesselautohaus.com). =)
So lets start...
http://www.brianjesselautohaus.com/images/logo.jpg
Im sure you've all seen the logo up while driving along boundary road and wondered, whats that about?
Brian Jessel Autohaus is going to bring you the answer, where to bring your euro. Specializing in maintenance, Autohaus will be the place to bring your euro, after your warranty is up! What does that mean? It means you now have the option, yes, the option, to bring your car to a facility where you can expect the best service for your euro, at the most competitive pricing. Brian Jessel Autohaus won't skimp on quality! The staff of technicians are fully trained, fully licensed, and fully ready to take on your car, weather it be just a simple oil change, or if you want to go into customization. The service and parts staff have the full support of Brian Jessel himself, and are expected to give you the best quality experience without any sacrifices.
Where do I come into this? My choice on joining the Brian Jessel BMW team was coincidental in perfect timing with the start up of Autohaus. My knowledge, experience, and willingness to give the best customer service possible was why i was concidered for the job. Now how does this differ from Brian Jessel BMW? They are by far seperate companies, linked by the owner. However, all the great service you come to expect from Brian Jessel BMW, will be at Autohaus, and my goal is to raise the bar. Those that knew me and have delt with me at Advance know i take care of all the customers. Weather you come in to ask a quote or a simple oil change, or a full scale plan of attack for your ride, ill make sure to take care of you, and treat you no different.
How do i feel about this? absolutely excited! im back in the industry i love! And have the support of ppl that trust in my ability and in which all have the same goal, providing the best quality customer service possible!
So where do i come into this? I'll do my best to keep you guys up to date. Project builds and future outlooks! The focus will be of course euros, as thats where the staff started from, however, i wont turn away a customer, it just means you will be under my personal attention, and watchful help w/ the technicians.
Sounds fun right? OH HELL YEAH! After finding out about all this, i cant believe the team im gonna be on for this!
So with that said, thats all the news i have... ill keep you posted as for progress! But things look like they are going on ship shape there. I hope to see some of you guys, and since i may be front counter, you can always swing by and say hi. (just not right right now cuz im still in shipping learning the ropes at BJ BMW :D)

Will look at what products they offer for the Euro crowd when it's all up and running. Give us a shout when that happens !SG. ( I tried to put an exclamation mark behind your name but it looked weird.) LOL

sounds sweet
good luck
BJ BMW service department = BJ AutoHaus?
Nope, like i said, BJ BMW and BJ Autohaus will be connected via same owner. The staff at Autohaus has been trained at BJ BMW and other facilities. The point of Autohaus is after warranty, and performance!
How i see it is, when your warranty is up or you drive a car that has no more manufactuer warranty, where would you take your car? You now have one great big option.
When i was interviewed by Brian Jessel himself, the first words out of his mouth were "we focus on quality and in service." I hope to keep if not exceed that level and i believe everyone there is on the same page =)
Its one thing to have a shop that sells parts, quality parts, brand name parts, but another thing to have a shop that can provide quality service! You now have a great option for that in vancouver =)
BJ BMW service department = BJ AutoHaus?

After hearing the good things about Brian Jessel BMW, i'm sure this extension will be synonymous with the quality and care that goes into dealership cars. You mentioned euros, so I'm assuming BJ Autohaus works on Audis and VWs?

sounds awesome!
i myself started out in imports, japanese cars, and i still drive one. However, my work experience has let me get familiar with domestics, other japanese cars, euro's... I value all the wisdom and knowledge i gained through the years, and through all my peers.
BJ BMW service department = BJ AutoHaus?
no. the idea, as far as I can understand, is what BJBMW cannot do in their BMW dealership.
it essentially caters to BMW's/Euro's that have had their warranty expire. Normally you'd be paying normal rates for stuff that will not be covered by their expired manufacture's warranty, however BJ Autohaus will most likely be offering lower door rates and discounts on parts as well to off-warranty vehicles.
Then there's customization. BMW has their own performance line (BMW Performance) which should be the only one offered at authorized dealerships. Anything other than that, technically, is frowned upon by BMW Canada and not supposed to be sold at Dealerships. That's another aspect of BJ Autohaus as they are not affililated nor tied with BMW Canada.
just think of BJ Autohaus as a 3rd party alternative. BMW Canada being first and BJ BMW Dealership being 2nd.
edit: lol !SG beat me to a response haha
The main focus will be on euros, as the technicians are all trained for that. HOWEVER, the great thing is most of the technicians at autohaus are car nuts, like myself, like the rest of the staff, so thus, our combined knowledge should be pretty damn interesting. I will be honest in saying i do not know everything there is to know about euros, however, as for parts goes, i think i know quite a bit after selling them for so long =)
Should be fun and exciting time!

i used to do sublet work for BJ BMW two words come to mind " TOP QUALITY " on anything they do. they expect nothing but the best
Niteraven's got it down.
Basically we will be a fully functional automotive shop. We are related to Brian Jessel BMW by the same owner, but are not under the BMW canada corp and rules. Thus we can offer the best option to parts available world wide! =)

whats competetive pricing? $175/ hour? :p
^ yeah, what's the shop rate? BJ BMW is like what... $150/hr? and Autohaus is ........ ? any way to beat/match some reputable shops like Advance automotive (No.6 road / Steveston hwy) $60-70ish?

In my experience Euro owners don't seem to mind paying double the going rate.
:D
In my experience Euro owners don't seem to mind paying double the going rate.
:D
yet the smarter Euro owners are somewhat a cheapass that don't wanna get ripped off ....... but, a hot blondy at the front desk may help - just like Boundary MB !
also, some Euro owners may also own these P.O.S 18 years old Honda Civic :D
i dont know the full details on the shop rate, but i was promised it will be lower than the set BMW Canada shop rate for all the BMW dealerships.
Carrying the Brian Jessel name means there are set levels of high quality standards that wont be lowered. However, this doesnt meant it has to come with a premium price. I can garantee that the shop rate will be significantly lower. Probably not to the level of the smaller shops, but at a very competitive rate with licensed skilled technicians.
Like I said before, Brian Jessel BMW shares the same owner with Brian Jessel Autohaus, but is a different seperate shop garage.

So, are they becoming RS sponsors?
i probably can... in about a months time =D if you want to wait til then, then i will have full access to all the programs, suppliers, and equipment to give you a proper quote.
Autohaus is being outfitted with some of the best equipment. Its just gonna be aweseome!

LOL, guess ppl will have a better alternative than taking their cars to No.1 collision
going to be? hell, i learned to drive in an E30! =D

brian jessel autohaus wont be a collision autobody shop. BUT the alternative is, you can leave the car for us to take care of the claim. we will simply be sending the car to one of our many trusted autobody shops that we deal with. or even, if u just want a referral to a bodyshop in your area, we can do that too.

Nope, im not running the show, i will however be part of a team, full of experience from service to technical. If anything, ill be humbley learning off them being the new guy and all!

lol you better lay down some E30 knowledge on the staff... I can't imagine the mechanics at new BMW dealerships knowing much about old models anymore, which is why I take 'em to specialty shops that know the car inside and out and all the niggles and tendencies they have.
Best of luck, hope to hear some good experiences.

that being said why would anyone bring their car to bj bmw service over this service if they are more competitively priced with the same quality?

haha i would totally go there it just down the hill for me. but i don't own a bmw.
im suprised that you got BJ Autohaus as a sponsor!
maybe some sexy BMW's at the meet now?
here is my understanding.
when you have a new car, you are required to bring the car in for servicing due to warranty. now say during its duration under warranty, and you decide to get the job done at some other place, and then you have another issue that can be related to the first time, BMW canada has every right to be suspicious, and can even void your warranty.
now that the warranty is up, you have every option out there to take ur car to! however, this is where Brian Jessel Autohaus comes in? If you can take your car to a place with licensed technicians at a very competitive rate with renowned quality service and parts, why wouldnt you? The point is to retain our customer base. Im sure if u had ur car serviced at Brian Jessel BMW, you will have experienced the great service. Brian Jessel Autohaus hopes to retain that quality level, while offering alternatives to high quality parts and high quality service.
that being said why would anyone bring their car to bj bmw service over this service if they are more competitively priced with the same quality?
once i know more fine details like shop rate, hours of operation, and my position at the new shop, ill be able to help you guys out.
they are still renovating autohaus as i know it. but its gonna be sweet. i got to see the front show room already and man, its HUGE!!!
that being said why would anyone bring their car to bj bmw service over this service if they are more competitively priced with the same quality?
if your car is under warranty, would you bring it back to your dealership?
here is my understanding.

there has been instances where BMW voided the vehicle warranty because the customer decided to go without the run-flat tires and smoked a pothole, causing damages to the suspension and the rim.
.....it's mentioned somewhere in the very, very fine print.
the idea is BMW's (newer models) were designed with run flats in mnd, altering it by fitting conventional tires on it changes the dynamics drastically.
and people! if you lease a BMW, remember there are only certain brands that will be accepted by BMW Financial upon lease return.
Bridgestone, Goodyears, Michelins, Dunlops, Pirellis, Continentals will be accepted. Not Kumho, not Falken, etc.
This sounds pretty awesome.. keep us updated!
Did you know your car qualifies for classic club service (reduced door rate + parts discounts)?

doesn't bmw canada see this as a huge conflict of interest?

i see that as cutting bmw canada's grass in terms of after warranty service if they undercut bjbmw door rate.
bjbmw will basically be for warranty car's only.
you don't see Morrey nissan get taken away because the owner also has morrey mazda
Brian Jessel Autohaus is not under BMW's jurisdiction and rules
for example, BMW canada doesn't allow advertising in competitor's territories, so Brian Jessel BMW can't advertise in north shore as
that's Park Shore BMW's territory.
Autohaus has an advantage in that it can advertise anywhere
naaa, it comes down to customers that like dealing with brian jessel bmw even if the car is out of warranty, and catching those customers that choose to leave after the warranty is done, to get the job done somewhere else. now there is an option to continue with the great service that comes from working under Brian jessel and what his expectations are when it comes to customer service.

i noticed the other day that shoei has already staked out a parking spot on the street just houtside this place... heh :)
i wish.
i got a lot more things to learn before i even get to step foot in autohaus.
i still have to get my basic training of parts advising, on top of that, i know nothing about dealership servicing advising!
all my knowledge comes from working for small independant shops. the job usually does both service and parts, but at a dealership level is a whole new ball game!
When autohaus opens, you will get greeted by richard. He's a good friend of mine, and also well ahead of me when it comes to parts n service training. You are in good hands, not to mention the guy is a car nut just like myself. So if i ever get the chance to move over, ill be working under him for sure.
