Ive seen it happen and experienced it a few times before.

Malls, especially dollars like that one near the busstop at metro. When it gets really busy in there. And also the skytrain.

Sorry to hear you're shitty story. Hopefully they didn't use you're cards and you cancelled them in time. But just a heads up for us, where did it happen?

sorry to hear. it's actually very easy to take it if you follow the person for a while and see which pocket the item (wallet, phone) is in. walking into them by accident will create enough distraction that you don't know they've already taken the item.
i put my stuff in my pockets and my hands in pockets at all times after i learned this.

It's possible you dropped your wallet yourself... happened to me in Vegas.

I thought someone jacked my wallet in NY:NY - went to security to report it but the guy said "Are you [name]?" which freaked me out. Apparently a stranger found my wallet and returned it intact. Unfortunately, I had already canceled my credit card by then...

naw, got pick pocketed.

Called in right away, he already decided to go on a small shopping spree.

Thank god, vancouver closes shops early, only gas stations and a 7/11 was where he got too.

I totally left my purse in the Playboy club in Vegas too after taking pictures. After talking to the bouncer he knew exactly where I left it and it was returned to me intact. That bouncer was amazing....you can forget that here in Vancouver unless you have enough grease on your hand......

I wear jeans that aren't too baggy, and I keep my wallet in my ass pocket (right cheek). Whenever it goes missing, that cheek gets lonely and cold :(

but really, keep an eye on it at ALL TIMES

my wallet is thick & i keep it up front all the time so that i know i will never lose my wallet

plus if they do try & pick pocket my wallet it would feel weird for the both of us cuz that person would be touching my balls

I'll let you have the gig as long as I'm the male lead for it.
That way I can tell all my friends I starred in an adult movie and finally get the penis-shaped business cards I've always wanted.

P.S. OP, I would send you my condolences over MSN except I don't know which one you are.

damn son, same boat here, I had mines picked for the first time too a few weeks ago. didn't realize it until i tried boarding a bus 10 minutes later and couldn't find my wallet which had my upass. took all my cash and a starbucks gift card I had, but Canada post mailed me back my wallet with everything else and luckily i had my credit card cancelled before they got to use it. maybe it's the olympics?

that's actually a main reason I was watching the news the other day and they said we should be looking out for these kinda things due to the olympics more people could be trying to pick pocket others

wasn't my wallet, but some homeless guy had some guy's wallet, using the credit card to buy parking tickets at the parking lot beside Ebisu on Robson, and trying to get people parking there to give him a couple bucks or whatever in exchange for a ticket. Pretty awkward as the machine is right beside the path to get to Ebisu, and he was just standing there pretty much refusing to let people buy their own tickets; so much as to just give you a ticket if you told him you didn't have any money for him

anyways, I rambled, hopefully whoever's wallet that was didn't have to pay for those tickets, and yeh, before that it never registered to me that it pickpocketing went on in vancouver

that's why my wallet is always in a zippered pocket in my jacket (i'm always wearing one) or in the summer, in some sorta velcro'd up pocket.

Wow, I hope the credit card company was watching cuz it's pretty obvious that the card had been compromised if it's being used to purchase one parking ticket after another...
