that's an F150.. F250s are bigger and have a different bodystyle.

and FYI there are LOTS of unmarked cars now from different brands and different makes.
(I know, we've sold a bunch thru fleet to VPD and RCMP.. and they ain't all crown vics!)

Its a habit, a bad habit of not signaling. I learned to drive outside a small town population 2000 on country roads and highways. Not much to hit, so why waste time signaling? Then I moved into Ottawa. Ottawa has many french drivers, and to stereotype, french drivers rarely signal. So my bad habit continued.

I'm better now, I signal when I know people need to know what I'm doing, yet for a lane change with no-one in the other lane (ie your example, no-one is beside me cause I'm speeding) I don't feel the need to signal cause its a formality, no-one requires to know I'm changing lanes.

I never use the HOV lane to pass someone going slow in the fast lane, even when I have a passenger. And I don't go slow in the fast lane either - I know my place, in the slow lane where I belong doing the speed limit.

But old farts like me love to have their passenger call 911 on those of you who do all the above at the same time... so beware, it's not just the cops you should look out for.

I don't see how using your signal is time consuming...I personally get annoyed too when people change lanes and don't use the signal, even if it doesn't effect me. At that point I usually speed up and just cut them off, and then slow down and create a barrier with someone driving slow beside me...Then I watch them get pissed off in my rear-view mirror cause I'm doing 50 in a 70 zone. Eventually I get bored and speed off. Good times indeed.
