so, as i understaind i can mix two cards like my 260gtx and me ol 7900gs, the question is, would it be worth it?

i know they wont run in sli mode but it would take some of the physics calculations or something...

also i would plan on doing this on a Asus p5q turbo pro (xfire board)
but this guy: http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/634404-guide-how-run-sli-asus-p5q.html

says it can be done? what do ya's think?

cant be done on xfire board. But if you SLI a 260gtx and a 7900gs it will just downgrade to the 7900gs specifications. might as well just use the 260gtx alone

7900 won't run as a standalone physix card, u need an 8 series atleast, correct me if I'm wrong.

u can sli on a xfire board, as long as you install a "hacked" firmware to enable SLi on your mobo
